The Joy Project partnered with Southland Christian Church in Lexington to help provide Christmas Gifts for nearly 450 children in Fayette County. Most of the children and families being served at the Christmas Joy event are from some of Lexington's most diverse communities. The Joy Project purchased gifts for 9 children, spent many hours prepping, organizing gifts, setting up supplies, hosting families when they arrived to collect gifts, and helping clean up after the event that took place at Southland Christian Church on December 11, 2021. When families arrived to collect gifts, families were greeted by hosts that led them through different stations that included, collecting gifts, wrapping gifts, children programming, pictures with Santa, and a great meal. None of this would have possible without the efforts of gracious volunteers willing to give up their time and resources to ensure kids had a great Christmas in 2021.​
