In July of 2023 the Joy Project sent 2 groups of volunteers, one group made cold sandwhiches for the families to have as "to-go" lunches for whenver they wanted to eat, and for snacks throughout the days/nights. That group then made "house to home bags", these bags are for the families that are leaving the house that has basic necessities (water, hygene items, and some food/snacks) so that when a family is finally leaving the house they don't have to immediately figure out getting those necessities. The second group got to take a tour of the house and meet some families. They then cooked dinner for the families that were there, and packaged the rest so they can eat them whenever. For the families that were there at the time dinner was served, the team got to eat with them and meet some of them.
